Greetings in the name of the Lord! I hope this letter finds you and yours doing well. Many of you have supported the ministry for years. Some of have even been there from the beginning. Untold lives have been changed through the dedication and commitment of Perry and MaryAnn Jordan. As many of you know Perry has gone to be with the Lord and MaryAnn has continued to take up the cross and carry on the ministry, taking ministry team members in with her.
Times have changed since the beginning when Perry or MaryAnn could make a call to a prison, say they wanted to come minister and they'd be welcomed with open arms, taking their young daughters from toddler age all the way to adulthood with them. That's not the case these days. Society has changed and corrections system has changed making it more difficult to gain entry and spread the Gospel. However, through it all Mama Jordan (that's how she's known to the inmates) remains undaunted, her spirit unquenched wanting to take the message of redemption and healing to those who need it so badly, yet are the ones so often deprived of hearing.
Not only have times changed logistically, but also financially. Each year it gets more difficult to raise the needed funds to sustain the ministry. We are competing with record numbers of nonprofits for funding and sometimes it can be a daunting task just to have enough cookies and gas to make C-Day happen. It's also been difficult to sustain throughout the state of Florida. Countless thousands have been touched by the Jordan Ministry through the years. Many of you reading this letter have been touched knowingly or unknowingly.
The ministry, like so many others is facing financial struggles. Everything costs more these days. It is with that in mind that the board has asked me to write this message requesting your help. We would like to bless Mama Jordan going into the 40th year of ministry. What we'd like you to do is pray about it and consider making a donation to the ministry for each of the 40 years. It could be as small as one dollar for each year, or for those of you who have been financially blessed, it could be considerably more. No gift is too small. However, each penny is needed to keep the Jordan Ministry moving forward.
I challenge each of you to dig in and help us continue to do the work the Jordan's were called to so many years ago.... to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. Blessings to you and your families! Prayerfully,
